WHAT IS PAINT MEMPHIS?

Paint Memphis is an annual, one-day paint festival, which creates the largest collaborative mural in Tennessee. We bring art to the streets, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, location, race, ethnicity, or ability. During our festival, volunteer artists show off their talents and connect with a community of local and regional painters. The event brings the community together, bridging the gap through art. Plus, we have vendors, food trucks, hands-on workshops, and live music to make this event fun for art lovers of all ages.

No person, on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, religion, or sex, shall be excluded from participation in, or be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subject to discrimination of services, programs, and employment provided by Paint Memphis.

Paint Memphis has a long history, beginning in 2015 on Chelsea Avenue. Since then we have been painting all types of neighborhoods in Memphis, including Lamar Avenue (twice), Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, north Memphis in the Carriage and Snuff Districts, downtown on BB King Blvd and around Carolina Avenue, and we held our 2022 one-day paint festival at the Broad Avenue Arts District – Hollywood, Broad, and Scott Streets.

In October of 2023, we move to The Edge District, in The Ravine Park and surrounding area. Come join over 100 artists creating the largest collaborative mural in Tennessee! Food trucks, vendors, workshops, demonstrations, dancers, skateboarding, and live music. Kids area too!
